Prior to joining Baird, John was the Head of Wealth Management for ThinkEquity LLC, where he was responsible for all aspects of the practice, including concentrated stock strategies, manager selection and investment consulting.
He also has significant experience with family offices. He founded and managed a single-family office with over $400MM in assets. He also served as a board member for a multi-family office, Springcreek Advisors, with assets of $300MM.
John began his career at Montgomery Securities (subsequently Thomas Weisel Partners), where he worked closely with clients to address the private wealth needs of corporate clients, advising on issues related to the sale, hedging and monetizing of restricted stock issues, corporate services and investment consulting.
John received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Amherst College as well as a certificate of accounting from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He enjoys spending time with family, friends, and long hikes with his dog Annie.
